  • Best squeegee for applyin App tape?

Posted by Gwaredd Steele on March 1, 2012 at 9:09 am

    Hi all.

I seem to be burning through a lot of felt edged squeegees recently while applying app tape, so was wondering what you guys use or recommend?

Are those 12" wide ones worth a go, or is there something better out there?

    Cheers!

    Gwaredd,

Have one of the 12" ones with a metal edge – so much quicker. Not sure where I got it – probably Jag or similar.

24" piece of diabond with a felt edge applied. Works wonders for app tape, laminating and flood coating. 😉

Use similar, but 650mm x 10mm chamfered bit of acrylic with a foam edge and heavy duty polyester fabric. Works a treat. My very own ‘rolls roller’!!

Haven’t used a squeegee for years now for app tape. We use a 6" wide rubber roller.

We only use flet edged squeegees for applying vinyl.

We use metamarks purple ones for applying app tape, we also have a webber 12inch steel one as well for app tape.
