Best frosted for large pieces.
Posted by Martin Oxenham on October 31, 2013 at 4:08 pmWe have some large windows to apply frosting to. Which is the nicest to work with. Just standard frost no sparkles or anything.

ive just tried a sample of APA air release frosted. Never used their vinyl before or any air release vinyl. Exceedingly quick and easy to apply! I will be buying some of that when my normal roll is finished!
cheers

Ritrama PTA…most of my etch work done in this – applies well wet (flood coats) or dry (text / detail).

Do loads of frosted work for a door manufacturer, I used to use Grafityp’s which was fine, however they ran out of stock and left me with a real problem. Switched to Metamark air release and I actually prefer their version, it’s a dream to work with, personally I think air release back is well worth the extra money.

We use the air release in the printed vinyl but not sure if our fitter would be happy fitting it dry as some pieces are 2400 x 1000 in size so he would normally flood these on wet.

metamark and spandex use the same face film and are easy to use non bubble free versions. Have even used these side by side

I prefer flooding large panes with a window film rather than a vinyl. Mainly as the thinner liner means you can reverse roll it more easily. i hate trying to deal with a large expanse of paper liner.
Been using 2 mil matt from Bondyke recently for all my plain frost work. -
when it comes to frozen, we use a 3M Scotchprint frozen and apply only on dry window and film. to b honest it i dont very like frozen film, but sometimes clients need clients get:) hmmm.. i remember when we gets windows from Hamburg from airport, we apply a matte laminate on windows.. u know some clients may be know, some clients may be see, but what eyes can not see, the heart doesnt pain..u know what i mean:) greetings!!
