Banners on burger van
Posted by Peter Normington on May 30, 2007 at 5:40 pmUp market burger van,
fitted today its of to Epsom Races for the weekend. All printed Banner, for light weight, it strips down and fits inside the van for transport.
We have done another set for Sausages. so its easy to change the brand.

nice idea peter.
what is the frame work behind please and how robust do you think it ischris
-
The frame is made from 25mm galvinised box section, again for lightness, but with enough bracing to be fairly rigid.
the bottom section is mostly up against the van so should not be a problem with wind forces. The top section is fixed to a robust panel that is hinged from the roof, lays flat when not in use, on gas filled cylinders,
The frame fixes to the van on tipper/truck dropside hinges, and secured with shoot bolts.
Hope that makes sense

Excellent Peter. A real step beyond the sort of signs seen on a typical burger van 😀

Peter has gone to bed, but the guy whose van it is isn’t your usual burger van man he has taken mobile catering a step beyond, all his units, cookers ,fridges etc. are all easily move-able so it can all be cleaned around and under after each use.

Won’t taste the same though will it 😕

The image people have of the typical burger seller is wrong. Nowadays, many of them are very serious businesses, using some very expensive trailers and equipment. I’ve worked on trailers upwards of 90 thousand squids! There’s money in grub.
-
your not kidding Andy these day’s they are serious money and they make serious money with them.

exactly …………… why do you think they fight over a ‘pitch’ 😮
BIG bucks. -
