not too sure what a banner rivet is……….do u mean eyelet?

i will watch this thread with interest just incase there is such a thing as banner rivets

im not a much of an expert, eyelet sounds about the same thing what i am after

hmmm im not much of an expert either

but a few things come into my mind

why not just buy the banners ready done?
are you printing them so need it to be flat when doing so?
are you going to hem/weld the edges for extra strength?

dont know if these questions are relevant but you dont want your banner just to fall down 😛
