    Hi

I hope this is not a daft questions but this is what I need to do. My client wants a clear acrylic panel with a digital print on the rear and back lit with LED’s, I’ll reverse print on clear and do I back it with translucent vinyl to make it "opal"

or is there an easier way I am over looking?

    cheers

I’d be tempted just to ‘laminate’ it in white vinyl that has a reasonable L.T.

That way you still get the correct ‘light off’ colours.

I would point out that standard printing on clear can result in quite ‘washed out’ looking prints when rear illuminated.

Countering this with a double pass will improve the intensity – but result in dark ‘lights off’ viewing.

    Thanks David

Light off colour is not an issue as it is in a meeting room and will always be on when in use so I just have to worry about getting it right with light on.

How am I going to know what white vinyl will allow enough light through and will the translucent vinyl not work as I thought that would be the best option?

    cheers
