I remember a while ago someone asking about those sticker strips that garages put on the inside of car windows. I can’t find it now 🙁

Does anyone know of the best way of achieving this type of sticker with the PC60? I thought of using clear vinyl, printing in reverse then laying white vinyl over it as has been previously suggested, but it seems a tad time consuming 😕 I’d also considered static cling material, but no idea whether this type of material is suitable for the PC60 😕

I’ve puzzled over the same thing Dewi. I recently found out that “print one” sell a white cartridge. Using one of these you can print in reverse onto a clear vinyl then print a white background. This is the easiest solution I ‘ve come across 😀

I bought some of the white as well Phill. It advised it was only for printing white text, so I was a bit aprehensive about trying it for a large solid block 😳 I’m still learning my way around the printer, learnt quite a bit today though 😀

Have you ever tried the static cling Phill? If so, how have you found it compared to vinyl?

The white ribbons don’t print a completely solid white – more of a translucent white (in other words it wouldn’t cover black vinyl with a white finish – but when printed on clear it is perfectly acceptable).

I have used static cling with vinyl lettering – you can get it from europoint display (it’s called penstick). I’ve never tried printing on it yet but can see no reason why it shouldn’t

it wouldn`t cost you huge amounts of money to buy a small vacumm based printing station,

then, like said, print on clear in reverse and then take to the printer and flood with white ink, 1 litre of white would only cost £30, you could print 1000`s with it.

no need to burn a screen, just tape it up.

the ink air drys in about 30 mins.

i think “red devil” does small stations for a few 100 quid.

i`ve used this method when i had a pc600, contour cut them on the machine, then when the flood white is dry enough, weed, job done.

infact i dare say you could get away with out the printer and just use a screen, as any “mess” would be outside the printed area where it is weeded away.

the good thing about the pc600 is it prints very fine detail, something the edge or screen printing might struddle on.

i thought that just printing onto the static cling which is the perfect medea for the job,,,if its white there isnt a problem with that and its relatively cheap,,,,,,,worked for us, :lol1:
