    was it good?

do you use the material that you were trained with on the course
or do you prefer something else?

Was ok.. The training material is all the Uniform own vinyl. great product. But as you don’t get to use any others, you can’t compare. I have yet to do a wrap since. typically.

They’re vinyl isn’t cheap. Would use the recommended vinyl from this site myself.

There is plenty of hands on.. I can guarantee, you’ll leave the course ready to take on any wrapping excercise.

They’re very knowlegable we were taught by Lew from

    http://www.vehiclewraps.co.uk/about_us/

You’ll probably have the same guy.

I am on this very same course on Wednesday. I’m looking forward to learning new skills, so hopefully this course will provide it.

I will let you know what I think.

Never had Lew teach us we had some guy named Adam. Certainly knew what he was talking about with our training and although I am now able to do vehicles with more confidence I view the course more of a building block in developing my skills in vehicle wrapping. I t has now learnt me the basics and all I need is more practice in developing them.

After doing wrapping for the first time on the course when I see posts on here of people taking on vehicles without knowing what they are doing they really are making a bad move. So in my opinion get yourself trained before ever tackling vehicle wrapping.

when did you get home stuart ?

I see the training a bit different from yourself stuart we specialize in vehicle livery don’t do much with signs because of my signwriting past most of my customers come to me for vans, trucks, curtainsided vehicles so we are very capable with normal vinyl
I found the course invaluable hands on almost within an hour of the start
being taught what to do and not to do as you fit the vinyl rather than watch an instructor it was great. We wrapped all the the panels of the van and some on the car and now look forward to wrapping my own van as my first project i know this is just the start of the learning process we will still make lots of mistakes but before the course it seemed to me to be like joining a secret society maybe something outwith my capabilities but after training i feel much more confident about being able to start my way down the road of wrapping i also still expect 99% of my work well maybe 95% to be the same old thing but it will be nice to offer a new service ,although at the beginning we will hand pick our jobs not try anything too major and just feel our way in and of couse have adams mobile number to hand for emergencies !

We finally got home at about one in the morning, what with the little incident at Heathrow. Should of asked you to drop me off as you were passing! 😀

sorry stuart i remember you guys saying we left at lunchtime and you were leaving around seven but you would still be home before us so we had a bit of a chuckle on the road up when we heard the domestic flights were cancelled did you drive home or did you get a flight after all

going back to the course what time did you finish up, i thought the course was bril hands on from almost the start to me was the way to learn adam really knew his stuff i left feeling confident (fairly) about wrapping our own van but after watching adam wrap the bumper on the car you realise there is another level again

I really liked the hands on right away the best way to learn in my book. We finished up about 2.30 due to the chaos at Heathrow. As you say i now have a lot more confidence in tackling vehicles. Now all I have to do is to persuade the boss to buy us a new one!

just completed the course (with Adam Morrisey) and have to say opened my eyes to just how complicated wrapping is – but with his training/instruction I feel a lot more confident. Only criticism was that we didnt actually have a wrap design to join up or fit to a vehicle, i.e. the problems that having text on one panel to join text on another.

Would recommend doing the course as it is basically hands on from the start and using someone else’s vinyl/vehicles to practise on (and I might add cut to ribbons in some cases) . Adam certainly knows his stuff and wasnt frightened to pass on his tricks of the trade.

Thanks, can I ask what your experience with BP is? I have contacted them about purchasing a valuejet 1604 and wondered if they are a good company to work with?

Off the top of my head it was about £450.00. Not a bad course, although I have nothing to compare it to. Very hands on from the off though.

have to say had a friend do the victory course a couple of weeks ago, hes no slouch when it comes to using vinyl and he reckoned it was a ‘cheap’ and cheerful course, unfortunately thats exactly what it was.

Not maybe the info u were after!!
