    Hi All,
had the rep pop in this morning, with the avery supreme wrapping vinyls. Have you used them what do you think? How do they perform? I have always used grafityp and hexis wrapping films, but must admit i have fallen a bit in love with the blue chrome swatch. Would love to rewrap our vans in it! It is quite pricey, and they only sell by the roll so i really wanted to know if its been about a while and what we think of it!

    thanks in advance

We use it all the time. It’s amazing stuff. Beat wrapping film I’ve ever used
The chrome only comes in 1220 wide though. Does look good though.
    You won’t be disappointed.

Thanks Iain, how does it react to heat and stretching? Any dramas with colour change etc?

    thanks for your input!

It’s our choice if there’s no colours suitable in 3M 1080.

A doddle to work with, not had any issues with colour change when stretching, although we’ve not done anything too complicated with it!

We haven’t had any trouble with colours but with the blue and the res chrome we used it did discolour only very slightly going into a deeper fog light recess but we trimmed it out and placed a separate section in

We use the avery supreme on a weekly basis. It’s honestly the best I’ve used although I do also like the 3m 1080

It is very good. Had some issues with the pearl white discoloring after a few months though. I believe they have made some changes to it again,

I like the fact you can drape it over the bonnet and it wont stick down until you want it to. 3m glue is a bit more grabby

I choose Avery if 3M 1080 doesnt have the colour required, very easy to work with and a huge variety of choice! Last thing I wrapped was a T5 campervan in a light blue, looked awesome!! Only downside I found you have to buy it as a log and not by the metre which can be a pain if you only need 11 metres!

I use Avery Supreme allot now, especially as we use it during UKSG Wrap Training along with Oracal 970.

Avery has a fantastic range of colours including

    Chrome Silver
    Chrome Gold
    Chrome Black
    Chrome Blue
    Chrome Red

As with every wrapping vinyl available, each special effect Avery supreme vinyl in its range has slightly different characteristics when applying.
    i.e.

Matt metallics are very easy to fit. very thin and pliable

solid colours can be handle much rougher as it has more body to it, but applies and conforms exactly the same due to the adhesive system.

some of the earlier colours (which have now been changed) had clear adhesive which made the brighter colours slightly more transparent. by that i mean primrose yellow wrapped onto a black car and you could see a shift in the original yellow due to the black base colour. as i said though, this has been addressed in recent months by using grey backed adhesive instead of clear.

as for lightening of colours when stretched. ive never experienced this and i must say, if your stretching a film to the point you loss colour your either not doing it right or your over stretching it.

There isn’t a true wrapping film in chrome available by anyone as yet. all Cast chrome films are regarded as accent films. they are very limited in stretchability or they will show milky blemishes. but it DOES still applies just as easy as the other vinyls in the supreme range. just remember play with a small sample before you go wrapping and trying to stretch it. its not cheap! 😀

I had to use an Avery Supreme wrap because I couldn’t get the colour elsewhere….really impresses…easy to use and a massive colour range…will use again no worries.
