I did a van today that was dropped in by a customer first thing this morning. I told him I would phone his office when it was ready.

On completing the van I phoned the number on his van to be put onto an automated switchboard.

There were nine different options to choice from, sales, service, etc. but not one that gave me the option to tel them their van was ready 😕 .

I decided to take pot luck and pressed one (sales) to see what would happen 😎

I was then presented with a choice – press 1 to speak to Carol, press 2 to speak to Lucy. I thought Carol sounded nicer so pressed one again 😛

I then got put into a queue as “Carol” was busy 😥 – But a pre-recorded message said “my call was important to them” so I decided to wait patiently.

Eventualy a bloke answered 😕 (wot.. no Carol?) and asked if he could help me.

I told him I didn’t know what button to press to let them know their van was ready.

“Just a moment and I’ll transfer you” came the reply

No (says I) I don’t want to speak to anyone else I just want to pass on a message to tell your company the van was ready 🙂

    Who’s calling – say’s he

    The Right Signs – say’s I

    “Wight signs?”

    “NO RIGHT SIGNS” 😡

“And where is the van?” says he

IN THE SAME PLACE AS WHERE IT WAS LEFT FIRST THING THIS MORNING
says I before slamming the phone down 👿

You’ve got more patience than me Phill.

I would have said “sod it” and waited for them to call me.

I had to laugh at a situation I saw the other year.

I`m at a local screen supplier, picking up a couple of newly stretched screens.

The place has 2 offices and 1 big work space.

Phone close to me rings, chap who is dealing with me, picks it up.

“Please hold while I tranfer you to the relivent deptment” he then presses a mute button on the phone, shouts to his mate at the top of his voice, who comes running over, grabs the phone and says “Hello, stretching deptment, how can I help you?”

The chap who`s dealing with me, sees me smiling, and says ” well it makes you look good”

    I had to agree.
