A few elections ago, one of our politicians promised to reduce the statistics on ‘Drunk and Disorderly’ charges, intimating that he was going to close night clubs earlier and have a better police presence in the night club district.
When he got elected, he removed ‘drunk and disorderly’ from the charge sheet. This reduced the statistics as promised, and freed up police from so much paperwork.
We still have a drunk and disorderly problem in our night clubs but now its called something else. 🙄
