    Hi peeps, just wanted to post a rant really……. Pay monthly stuff!

    I was just looking for some new software to help with the business and I found some on a pay month account….. which prompted me to have a think and then a review of my own accounts….. this is what I came up with…

    Web Shop hosting and services £25 a month
    Web Site hosting (several sites) £40 a month
    Email Marketing tool (several sites) £20 a month
    Anti Virus protection (4 pc’s user) £10 a month
    Book keeping, invoicing (3 users) £30 a month
    Image Purchase account £20 a month
    Proofing account £15 a month
    Seller Research tools for eBay etc £15 a month
    Pro selling manager tools and shop hosting £20 a month

    Total = 195 a month

    This is just fixed and I haven’t included fees for selling commissions etc and advertising. I know paying monthly negates having to find the money up front, but it just seems that everything is starting to demand a monthly payment, costs are increasing and I’m just generally getting the hump with having to do this. I’m thinking of developing my own service for sign companies that covers everything…lol

    Just my beef for a monday morning, I was just wondering how everyone else finds all this and what your costs are like? I do run sever web shops and web sites for various products so I may be slightly different from most, but how does everyone else feel about this?

    PM me if you want to save some monies on hosting. 🙂

    You could definitely combine the web hosting and your web store on to one. What sort of Space and Bandwidth do you currently have?

    PM me Mo, always happy to help.

    yeah problem is the web shop is with ekm powershop so it handles everything without too much work from me, even integrates my paypal webpayments pro without hassle. I’m always scared of my email being down for a couple of days too while the domain is transfered…

    Bandwiidth is low at the moment but we are expecting a bug upsurge next month when we launch one o our new sites

    Usually it only takes a couple of hours so if you do it at midnight example, everything would be transferred and ready for opening of business on the next day.
