Applying vinyl to windows – What do you use?
Posted by Adam Zeit on June 17, 2011 at 3:53 pmI’ve seen this tool http://en.megaroller.dk/ on Euroshop and was very impressed.
Think about ordering one.
How do you install vinyl on windows? Any special tools?Nicola McIntosh replied 12 years, 11 months ago 8 Members · 8 Replies -

One of the simplest jobs. Only tools needed felt tipped squeegee, blade and roll of one inch tape for hinging. Saw some sort of a roller contraption at sign uk at a laughable price. Was a couple of hundred quid I think and probably cost a fiver to make

Wooow… in excess of EUR200? I went to the site and especially liked when the guy on the video just pasted a poster onto the side of a van… yeah… So far I have never ever had a job that would make this tool useful. My graphics often go within few mm from the window frames and rarely are one colour, one piece and not dependable on alignment…
Maybe it mainly is designed for shop staff and short promo posters?
I would possibly consider getting one if it was £24.95 or so and even then I would struggle to find a use for it in my narrow mind… -
hmmmm id like to have a close up look at these jobs .I can just imagine giving this tool to your local council worker and asking him to put graphics on the bin lorry :(..ps its a bit of boots baby shampoo for me

I can’t see much need for this tool either.
Single layer of vinyl onto a flat surface? What could be easier ? -
I guess you all, are right. It does cost a lot of money for being a good solution to fast vinyl-application to windows. As a matter of fact that was the reason I’ve wanted to purchase it for.
I guess I’ll stay with the order of the BigSqueegee. -
total waste of money and just something else to find a space for in the workshop.. Any sign person worth their salt should be able to fit a flat vinyl sign surely?
