  • Applying vinyl direct to internal walls?

Posted by Tim Painter on August 6, 2009 at 3:16 pm

I have a client who wants text applied direct to paintwork on internal walls.

I haven’t seen the finish of the walls as yet, but have been told the paint will be vinyl silk.

Can anyone give me any tips or pitfalls??

I assume a low tack tape is required ? or should I mist the tape after application so it doesn’t need so much force to remove it?

    Any input appreciated.

    Tim.

We have done this a few times, we usually us a matt vinyl as it doesn’t show the lumps and bumps. I may be mistaken but it seems easier to remove application tape without text lifting too.

    Cheers
