  • applying clear vinyl to acrylic(perpex) when using epson ink

    Hi,

After searching the net for sometime I have found a clear vinyl that I can print to with my Epson stylus 9600.

The only problem I have is when I come to apply it to clear acrylic!

We normally use a company to print our clear vinyl prints and they use solvent inks. And we use soapy water and a squeegee to apply it to the acrylic.

We want to print these ourselves but if we use water on the pigment inks the water just washes off the ink on the clear vinyl.

Does anyone know how we can apply the vinyl to the acrylic without using water or a laminater?

    Thanks

    Thanks for replying so quickly,

The only problem is we dont have a laminator. And as we are only new in the business we dont currently have the funds to buy one. I dont know of an alternative to do this without buying an expensive laminator. Has anyone got any more suggestions?

    Regards

    Adam

I think this is similar to a question I asked previously on this thread:

I think the consensus was, no unforunately.

You could possibly apply a clear plastic type application tape by hand to protect the print during wet application and then remove after?
