Applelec workmanship, views and opinions please?
Has anybody been dealing with Applelec over the years?
We’ve been getting signage from them for quite a few years now, but over the last 2 or so the workmanship of their signage has fairly been going downhill!!Fred

I haven’t used them for a long time, but i have always thought on their work as one of the best.
Surprised things aren’t up to their usual standard.Could it be damaged in transit or is it the actual product quality?

They’ve restructured the company Rob, its not the same now, they were great up until 2-3 years ago. We get bespoke octagonal projecting lightboxes from them for an Estate Agent client, for some reason the assembly method has changed, was on the phone for hours with one of the directors going round in circles telling him his signs were falling apart in transit due to them changing their assembly method(angle trim sandwiching in a light sheet and an opal face) but they started leaving a gap between the light sheet and the opal face for some reason. Director said we have some people do it one way, others another way!!

they need to listen to their customer’s complaint and if there is an element of truth in the complaint they must reconsider. especially if he is agreeing that one of his staff is doing it one way and the other another which ends up damaged during delivery. then the one that is using the sub standard method that is at fault and he should be told to change it!
