Yep, I’ve updated, the only issue I had was with my iPhone 3gs which failed to update and I had to do a factory default restore. It was fine after that and the only thing I lost was my music which is no big deal as I can just replace that from my iMac.
All good on the MacBook and our other iMacs and also the iPad.
Will let you know if I have any other issues as and when they happen.
Pre-ordered iPhone 4S yesterday so I’m looking forward to that arriving.

My mate got his 4s today and is quite disappointed by siri,
it doesn’t get his Lancashire accent and can only get it to work by talking really slow with a steriotypical stereotypical accent.
and when it does work it cant find anything

ios5 is fine. took all of an hour and a half hours to do my ‘i4’ including the backups.

Some good updates…some a bit ‘meh’.

don’t notice any speed improvements despite the published benchmarks

like the improved SMS notifications and the replacement ‘itunes’.

all in all…worth it as it cost nothing

    Just done mine
    Took about 1/2 hour
Not had time to work out the improvements yet but they’re supposed to be there somewhere 🙂

I’m by no means a power user of any of my Mac products but my iPhone4 updated with no problems at all. My iPad on the other, I had to do a restore on and took probably about an hour.

I like the new notifications on IOS5 and the ability to edit photo’s and move them around into folder without iTunes. The locational reminders are pretty good too but I certainly can’t see any speed increase.

A friend of mine bought a 4S the day it was released and Siri understands his Essex accent just fine. I think once the novelty of it reading expletive messages to him has worn out it will be basically just another iPhone4.

I got my iPhone 4s yesterday, much improved screen resolution.
Siri is cool and understands my welsh accent but not the welsh language.

"Sorry I didn’t understand you Neil" is all the guy says too me!

Mind you I don’t understand myself either 😀

Since updating to iOS5 tho no other issues with phones or iPad.

Yeah it took a few hours to update. No problem with that really. I’ve had a few weird things happening with Safari. Like when I go to edit the copy in the entry field it deletes it all. My FaceBook app acts strangely sometimes, but I don’t think I can exactly blame the OS for that. Some of the apps on my wife’s phone didn’t get copied over when she updated, but she just added them back manually. Other than that smooth sailing so far.

Yeah! Most of the apps disappeared on mine
    Fortunately they were all freebies
Simple to download them fresh again

If you have paid for any app, you can always download it again without paying again.
With iOS 5, all apps are sync in iCloud.

Siri will be updated with new languages and accents.

That happened to me, I just restored from the backup again, and got all my apps back.
