Hi Just wondering if anyone is running their mimaki JV3 SP
on the Shiraz RIP. Any insight would be great….
Read good stuff on this site, but not specific to this machine.
I’ve used ColorGATE and Curently on Wasatch (Troop Version)
Looking to upgrade my kit but the mimaki i’m looking at has no RIP.
So far best deal is with Shiraz RIP or an old version of ColorGATE V4
    Your Opinions Please…. Thank You
    Cheers Brock

The newer the software, the better it will handle modern EPS/PDF/PS print files

    Hi Brock.

There are hundreds of JV3’s out there running from Shiraz, and there are more profiles for it than you could ever possibly need. The latest version (v8) is available for a 15 day free trial from http://www.shiraz-software.com. If you need any help with anything more specific, let me know and I should be able to help.

Just to add a little bit more info, if you want to run a single printer, you would be best off running Shiraz Signature. If you want to run more than one printer, give Shiraz Server a go. Server is obviously more expensive than Signature but for some people the multi client, multi printer support is essential.

Thank You Dave and Stafford for your advice.
Looking at going down the Shiraz route as seems
to give me big the best bangs for my hard earned bucks!
Stafford, I was looking at the Signature version as only 1 printer,
fingers crossed now everything comes together and works.
Its hard work trying to put 2nd hand kit together…
    Thanks Again, for your input.
    Cheers Brock
