I played drums many many years ago, I stopped when I joined the Royal Navy, not much call for drummers on Submarines. I also learnt to play the bugle when I was in the Boys Brigade.

2 of my 4 kids play guitar quite well and the youngest one is just starting to learn. I learnt to play the piano when I was at school and have thought about going back to it a few times over the years but never got round to it.

I can play the guitar quite well. I can play all the Status Quo songs (E shape bar chords all the way up the neck 😮 ).

I reckon we should form a "Tribute Band" (but pleeze – not Elton John 🙄 ). We all ready have two Drummers ,a base guitarist, Stevie on electric guitar, and me on bullshit guitar.

I am kinda drawn to a glam rock type Tribute to the Glitter band (they had two drummers) but I’m thinking maybe it should be more like a glam rock version of Bucks Fizz so that Nik and Marcella can join in as well (I’ve got a couple of Velcro skirts they could borrow) 😕

a few years ago, well, about 4, i bought a mex fender strat (just like david gilmores), i’d decided i would learn to sing (lessons) or play guitar,

figured a guitar would be better, as if i didn’t like it, i’d still have something of worth, so bought the strat, the idea being that if i get an expensive one, i’d feel guilty and play it rather than leave it sat in the corner,

I had a year of lessons with a great teacher and superb guitarist (stuart of the-big-blue.com) before work committments stopped play, now it sits in the corner !!!! i still get it out from time to time, but not as good as i’d like to be… far from it in fact !!
