Bit too far for me at the moment Lee…

However, we are soon packing up our shop and house and moving 2500km to country NSW, and setting up business again. We will then be close enough to finally attend some shows etc. Probably just miss this one though…

    Cheers

Yeah it is for me as well bud. I’m in Perth but am thinking of upgrading my printer for a newer and shinier model so best place to see all that’s available is at the show.

I was going to go, but a mid week show doesn’t work for me. I thought about flying down on the friday, but its a short day 10am – 4pm, so its hardly worth it frankly. I usually take the family and we make a weekend of it in the big smoke, but I’ll pass on this one this year. Just purchased 2 VS640’s anyway, so no real need other than catching up.

Where we are moving to is about 4 hours from Sydney, and 6 hours to Melbourne, so I’m looking forward to being close enough to attend a few events/shows etc…

    Cheers

Lee: You looking at the Epson by any chance?

Quentin: Just saw this on ebay, http://bit.ly/g7SEvT It might interest you to get a rolling start when you move to NSW.

I’m kind of open Jason. I love my Roland printer and the service I’ve received here has been brilliant but I did want a machine that prints white and of course cuts as well.

Does the Epson look good then?

If your looking at white you will probably have to go for the Mimaki of the new Rolands with the white ink option.

Epson is an 8 colour printer with no white.

Thanks Jason. I’m moving all our gear with us, so don’t really need it, but it looks like it would be a pretty good buy though…

Don’t know where they are located but if they can’t sell it maybe you can buy their business for their customer base etc if they are in a close proximity to where your moving. Might get a good deal.

I’ve got the metallic/white option on one machine and the 8 colour on the other Lee, gotta say they are excellent units. the VS640 is slower than the bigger units, but with 2 machines its not a drama for me. You might look at the bigger unit if you are just needing one machine tho buddy.

    Hey Shane,

How fast is the VS with White and CMYK in dual pass mode I think its called printing white and cmyk in the one go. I know the XC is pretty slow.

Slightly slower than the XC Jason. Only prints in top quality mode, great job, but I do those jobs overnight, so I’m not waiting around. I just leave it to print and then go home…
