Any thoughts on the new omega 5.0 software
Hi everyone,
New to the board but been in the industry for sometime. We have used omega software for the last 6 years and are just about to update to the new version. Just wondered if anyone else runs the new version and if its any good?

Might be a silly question but does Omega 5.0 include the Hi res printing mode feature when printing to the FX?
I’m tempted for the upgrade as i believe it’s currently on offer from Spandex?Al.

We’re definitely upgrading, currently using 3.0 at the moment. The extra features this offers especially if you use an Envision are outstanding. I’ve just been reading feedback on the Edge forum as well, very good.

I use it, definitively a must have, tons of new features.
FX 1200dpi mode was introduced in version 4 or 3, not too sure.
If you run an FX and an Envision there’s a new automatic print & cut feature which removes the need to use the bombsight to align the jobs, dead easy to use as you just ‘home’ both machines just before running your job (do the calibration setup on the first time).

Hi George the no bombsite works with any Edge, you just need an Envision.
