  • Any thought on Vinyl Master Pro??

I’m in the same boat as Dex in the previous post, what software will I settle on??

I havn’t got the IQ to start with one then swap over so need to get it right first time. Vinyl Master Pro don’t seem to get a mention in many of your comments, is it a B list tool that isn’t as versitile or is there some other reason?? I have played with VMP and it seems OK, but I’m not familular with the others….

Also, in VMP I don’t think you have the tools to design a logo etc, is this the same in flexsign & Signlab?? I’m I meant to be using Illustrator/corel etc to do any fancy artwork then import…or have I missed the point somewhere along the line?

oh, and its going to be a lovely day here in sunny Kent xxxxxxxxx

    John 🙂

    Hi John,
I use VMP and I certainly wouldn’t call it B list!
Its a very powerful piece of software.
I design everything in VMP, so it’s more than capable of logo design work etc.
And you get everything included in the price – no “modules” to buy.
This software will pay for itself in no time.
    Cheers

I’d certainly use VMP over Signlab.

    I`ve got VMP & signlab.

I prefer signlab, but i first started out using signlab so thats perhaps why.

VMP has loads going for it, for the cost of £500 ish, new. No dongle needed, just a password.

I`m selling VMP if your intrested £275 + VAT.

I know use e6, as I`ve an edge.

I had a demo disk for VM, seemed pretty good but Signlab for me is still a bit slicker. Try and get this demo disk http://www.future-1.com

My first attempt at replying to a discussion – long time since I was a virgin.

I like Vinyl Master Pro but I have noticed that when you import an illustrator file that contain circles or curves it can distort them – ‘o’s in text or circles in logos. As you will probably get a lot of clients files in this format be careful – try importing on the demo disk (which by the way you can get from Grafityp who are the UK distributors.) and see if it does it.

It has a good selection of general and business clipart built in and can be used on a wide range of plotters
