Has anyone used anti graffiti remover on a standard laminate?
I need to try and remove marker pen and spray paint from some signs, anyone got any answers or advice?

I have an irrate customer who is moaning that he has had his signs graffiti’d and ha cannot remove it from the laminate. He’s now telling me that he has been mis sold the laminate because he was "under the impression" that the laminate would protect the signs from this kind of thing. I’ve tried to explain that the laminate would merely protect against abbrassion, cleaning solvents and the suns uv rays.
    He aint happy.

I take it that it has anti graffiti film overlaid on the text etc. 😕

If so, cellulose thinners will clean it off.

It is digitally printed graphics with a standard 3-5 year laminate, if i had known of a graffiti problem i would have used the appropriate laminate.

I have checked out the mactac website and they suggest methanol for use on the graffiti laminate film, i’m going to test some on the standard laminate and see how it goes.

Anyone else know of any products?

Marker pen – meths or Isopropyl usually lessens it on most surfaces, but NOT remove it totally as it CAN permanently discolour vinyl depending on the solvent base used in the pen.

Spray paint – Meths & elbow grease / white spirit…or even T-cut it off. The ammonia & abrasive might take it off.
