Another Newbie!
Hi all,
Great site. I’ve been looking for quite a while and have now registered.
I’m up in Oldham, Greater Manchester and am one of those Cosmetic Car Repair people (bit like chipsaway). I started painting cars 2 years ago after leaving the Police, don’t ask how all this happened! 🙁 .
After painting more than a few motorbikes etc i bought a vinyl cutter so i could replace any graphics i remove or ruin, then did a few simple vans including my own, A boards and also t-shirts.
I have now put the paint business up for sale as i don’t like it, far too weather dependent and wrecking my knees (and jeans). I would like to get more into sign writing or t-shirt printing, has anyone got any ideas/tips?

Hi Lee, welcome to the boards. Try using the search function at the top of the page as this is probably the best way to get started if you want to know more about a particular area of the industry. If you can’t find the answers to your questions just ask !!

Thanks everyone, i will ask if i need help/advice, at the moment i just need to get started and find work to replace the business i am selling.
I know starting up isn’t easy coz i’ve done it before but i think it’s worthwhile and I’m not sure i could work for somebody else now that I’ve been self employed.
If anyone local needs any help i am willing and able!
