Announcement…Just to let all my pals on Signboards know.
Not only have we just bought a big house in need of massive refurbishment….along with that, Derryl got on bended knees in it at the weekend and asked me to be his bride…I said yes and we are to be wed on December the 12th …
I thrive under pressure obviously!! lol

OH GOSH!!! All these lovely congratulations…*Blush*….as you can imagine I have been a bit busy !
Things seem to be coming together….I am glad I am not doing it alone…as some of you may know we go to church….and loads of people are all chipping in…….I am totally amazed by people and their generosity with their time and ideas……..there is no way we would be able to do it in 6 weeks to the standard which everyone is aiming at!!!
I was happy with a black cab….but a friend of mine is stomping up his gorgeous Audi AND is getting a chauffeur’s uniform…to id say some tea lights on the tables would be nice……….and another lady is hand making church candles with embellishments and flowers…..along with garlands around the hall and christmas tree ….(its all going to be a surprise as ive just left them to it) Id say finger food……….one of the ladies is training at catering college and shes got all her college mates to pitch in not only with food but with their time serving on the day…………….Someone else is making our wedding cake….wont take a penny for it! Someone else has given their apartment in Penang Malaisa for a honeymoon next year….My beautiful neighbour up the road has spent the last 3 weeks making the bridesmaids dresses and has started on mine (oooo its gunna be LOVELY!!!! and there is alot more going on, everyone is just pulling together and having alot of fun and joy along with it….. I am just overwhelmed buy everyones generosity!!!Derryl is the most gorgeous man in the world.
If anyone would be able or would like to come……..really you are more than welcome….just ask for the details and I will forward to you. xxx

Oh you are so sweet thank you… I just want to tell you that the house we are refurbing is quite an imposing house….beautiful and is going to be our castle.

you know I was kinda noticing that I had to keep changing I to we and me to us when typing out the last post….after being on my own for a good number of years and being used to making all the decisions and doing everything myself…its great to keep remembering that I now have amazing help on all levels……sigh… 😀

tried the dress on at the weekend….it fits perfectly and I was close to tears as to what a wonderful job this lady, who by her own confession has said she was no dress maker has done…….amazing……

Seriously, I’m glad you’re happy with your dress. My daughter is getting married next June and I’m struggling to come to terms with the planning and logistics involved in getting a frock made.
I suggested that she used her Mum’s old one. I didn’t know that my little princess knew language like that. 😀

That’s nice. I like to see things like that being passed down in the family.
I was looking in a jeweller’s shop in Bourton on the Water yesterday and, front and centre in the window display, was a large selection of second hand wedding rings. They were making quite a big thing of it, but I thought it sad, either as a sign of so many failed marriages, or a lack of someone in the family to pass it down to.
I’m looking forward to the photos. 😀
