  • An additional Company Van, your thoughts please?

After some ideas for an ‘interesting’ company van. I guess the closest modern van would have been the Mini Clubvan. ALthough this has me thinking about stepping back to a gone by era and purchasing something we can write up to gather interest and amusement.

Any suggestions? It would need to be reasonably reliable and be able to travel on a motorway safely 🙂 Other than that given it won’t be a workhorse what would you buy? 1969 Mini Van?? Triumph Courier?

    Ideas below 🙂

Not Retro but highly noticeable – Nissan Cube.
Very practical, very economical, and with a few additions, very effective advertising :thumbup2:
    Picture attached for visual effect

Good luck and happy hunting 😀

My own van is an NV200 but looks a bit puny with it’s small wheels. I have often toyed with the idea of wrapping it Mat black and fitting the biggest set of wheels I could find to make it look more like the concept vehicle Nissan produced when developing the NV200

A year or so ago I saw the puniest looking "A" team van I had ever seen. It was a tiny van done up to look like the A Teams. A bit like this one below.

Andrew Boyle did something similar and also did a charity tour in europe with it.
odd looking little car but certainly caught your attention. i forget the type/make now.

I am not into old cars, buildings etc just not really my thing but do appreciate them… so for me it
would have to be a new vehicle that’s that bit different.

If any from your list i would go with a NEW clubman.
    Nice traditional example here.

As Iain has posted, I like the Nissan Cube, i think thats odd enough looking to catch anyones eye in a nice design.

This is the silliest car I have ever wrapped.
It is not TOTALLY useless as a work vehicle – you can fit a bottle of Iso AND a squeegee in the back at a push!
It does attract a bit of attention though.

Simon, that looks very similar to the one Andrew Boyle wrapped. 😛

    quote Robert Lambie:

Simon, that looks very similar to the one Andrew Boyle wrapped.

    It is a Nissan Escargot.

Anymore? I like the Clubvan but these are no longer available new hence the thought of going for something interesting with classic status.

I think that unless going Traditional sign writing the older thing doesnt work.
then again, the whole american hotrod thing kinda stuffs that as they are very old slow brought upto date with modern day tech and power. so what do i know! :lol1: I guess its just not my thing…

I love what Dave Smith did for Burberry on their vehicle. Very simple, classy and gets noticed obviously…

This is not the original wrap Andrew Boyle did on this van, but simplicity on the unusual vehicle still works.

I have always liked these classic Citroen 2cv vans with the corrugated sides.
A bit pricey now I understand, but they hold their value and are a useful van too.

I have always fancied one of these as a shop truck, not sure its very practical but would get some attention, apparently the owner has fun racing supercars and the likes

There’s a sign company near us who gas a huge classic, dark green box van.

It’s a nice, but the vinyl sign writing on it is bloody awful, and really spoils it. Shame I don’t have a photo.

Subaru made these ….. retro looking, but with a more up-to-date engine.

I would have thought finding one for sale would be tricky though.

Thanks, nothing seems to catch my eye. Thought I would visit one of the classic auction houses to see if anything interesting pops up.

I recently sign wrote a mk 1 ford transit, I’m too young to have ever seen one when they came out but I must admit, looked a cracking van but at £15-20,000 seems a bit much
