• aluminium extrusion

    I’m sure there must to an aluminium or even a plastic extrusion for joining/ edging composite and hoarding board just not quite sure where to look. Board will be fitted to a wall but need something for corners and edging the end panels.

    No Robert, it’s not for making frames for signs. Got plenty of both Eurotrim and the Jag plastic framing knocking about somewhere.

    What I was looking for was capping strips and the butt section strips that would take a 3mm composite panel.

    Think I have found the sort of thing I was looking for from one of the Amari group company’s. The one they do is plastic and used in the food industry but it will do for what I want.
    Found a few companies online selling the extrusions but they all seemed to sell in bulk.

    Richard Austin Alloys in glasgow have what you’re after Martin
    Single edge, double edge for joining 2 sheets together and a nice corner section as well

    Stuart, that corner joint is spot on for making perspex boxes etc. 😀

    Thanks guys I will check those out. Could even have a trip to Glasgow as it’s not far.
