  • Alternatives To Inkjet Dark

Im not sure this is in the right section, so my apologies to Robert if it is in advance.

Ive been using Xpres’s Inkjet Dark paper for the past few weeks but im finding that it doesnt take much for it to lift away from the clothing.

Does anyone have any recommendation’s for alternatives that I can try, it doesnt have to be cheaper, just a bit more longevity would be good.

    Thanks.

    Hi Paul,
What time, temp. and pressure are you using?
I´ve used Inkjet dark from Xpres for several years until recently.
Have had a few problems with it pealing off after a few washes.
One of UKSB members…Steve? suggested this was caused by sweat, but if that were the case, (and I´m not saying it couldn´t sometimes be a factor), it would have happened on all the stuff I do for sports teams. Perhaps some people have the "wrong kind of sweat", but how would you know?
Overall for me, the Xpres material pretty reliable.
Have found an alternative here which seems to be just as good, although only time will tell.
You could get a sample of Magic Touch "WOW", but it´s expensive and personally I don´t like it…too complicated.

    160 for 10 seconds with light/medium pressure.

target transfers do a great one, but it aint cheap!

Try xpres colour cut, and use a piece of fabric over the top to get a nice matt finish

    quote Paul Humble:

    160 for 10 seconds with light/medium pressure.

Same as I do, but I give it an extra press for 3 or 4 seconds.

It was me that suggested sweat, but it was only happening on a very overweight pub singer.
so maybe that was the sweat and beer and other factors mixed in,
I havent tried a sample on Lee Evans yet.
I havent used The Xpres stuff in ages, its too thick and plasticky for my liking.
Targets is much better to the feel but as mentioned its expensive.
