    hi all..
well today i was in a coachbuilders lettering a tanker when i spotted 3 cracking truck riggs sitting in the yard. all three had been airbrushed.. all very different. by the time i had finished lettering my own truck 1 had left.. so i grabbed my camera and took what i could.

im not sure if all 3 were by the same sign writer/artist. but one certainly had a small badge.. his name was:

    ALAN DOUGAL
    AUCHTERARDER, SCOTLAND

the work as follows.. (give a moment for them to load)

The top one is exceptional the use of one colour blends in well with the the traditional livery
i would guess the second is by a different painter

Shame you missed the third ..thanks Rob

I’ve seen the second in Aberdeen but haven’t had a close look at it.
I will next time though regardless of what I’m doing.

Nice to see these not many people willing to pay for it though.

The green Native Americans truck from Glasgow, is some of my work. I enjoy doing monotone murals……don’t have to be changing colour cups and washing out my airbrush all the time….which is a big thing when you are standing on top of a ladder. :lol1:

    She’s also my best friend.

Many thanks for all the praise, folks. The customer was a real stickler that everything was right on his truck. He changed his mind a couple of times about stripes and lettering…..after they had been painted on!!!!

Sorry Jill, I haven’t met Catherine, although I have painted a fair few stock cars that race at Cowdenbeath.

Really enjoy painting the F2 stock cars because you can really let your imagination run riot about lettering, numbers, etc.
