I’m no great nature or animal lover but have you been watching this programme on Africa.

Unbelievable camera work, the sand storm footage on last nights Sahara desert was incredible, also filming the ants.. 😮

Check it out on iplayer if you haven’t seen it,

They also built a tall structure with a camera taking a picture a day over a year or so to film the movement of the sand dunes. Even though they had a couple of locals (god know where they lived ) to maintain it…It got vandalized..in the middle of the bloody desert 😮 Camera still intact though and footage amazing.

BBC1 Wednesdays 9.00pm..cant be many episodes left now

Martin, I agree amazing Camera work, I was also impressed with the new night cameras they have been using, looks almost as if it is a standard black and white film.

The other thing I noticed with this is you can really see the quality increase with HD over the standard BBC1

I agree Nick, quality is superb, certainly a no expense spared programme.
The BBC are very good at things like this.

alas I wont be watching it next week as I am picking Gary up and we are off to help Hugh with the girls rugby.

    😛

lol! its like a security no go zone when the girls are out! We started the girls of as a summer "touch rugby" (yes yes, titter!) club, then progressed, just about to have our first full game – you wouldn’t want to get in their way!

It is quite amazing that we’ve got Sky and Virgin in the house but a TV with freeview in the kitchen

Guess what I end up watching? BBC channels especially BBC4 on Freeview
Got to hand it to the BBC for dealing out some interesting stuff
