I have to fix a flat sign panel to this beam, it’s high up out of reach but there is only the single 60mm beam to fix it to.

What do you suggest is the best way to fix the panel to it securely.

    panel size is 2000mm x 500mm

    cheers

If its hollow can you not just use pop rivets??

Pop rivet 3 vertical supports in aluminium along the width of the sign and fix using the beam and the vertical supports that you put in before the sign.

I can’t post a pic to describe, shame as it’ll be a lot easier. Get some suitable self made brackets, something a 600mm strips of metal about 25mm wide bend them in half round a piece of wood or metal the same depth as the beam your fitting to. Fix half of each bracket to your board, then just slot them down the back of the beam where the corrugations are. This will make it easy to remove as and when necessary, and also guarantee you can get it level in all angles as it won’t be trying to twist the beam under it’s weight. Done a load of this in a metal Barn at a farmers market once.

two pop rivets, one at each end, or two self drilling tapping screws,
job done, its indoors so only the weight of the sign need s to be considered, no wind

6mm rivets would be the smallest I would use
