  • Advice – Wrap of ‘feed’ cut vinyl text?

We’ve a job booked in for Friday, and I’m after your opinions.

We’re apply some text diagonally down the sides of the vehicle, into the recesses.

We’ll be using Hexis Cast vinyl, so I’ve no concerns there, I’m debating whether it would be best to ‘wrap’ the text, as in bridge the recess, apply to the flat area, and then remove the tape and heat it and work it into the recesses.

Then I think perhaps ‘feeding’ the vinyl into the recess would be best, no stretching and distorting, post heat on completion.

Attached is a picture of the kind of thing we’ll be installing, just after others thoughts on how best to approach it.

Always feed it i whenever possible and if design permits. less chance of any sort of fail because the vinyl is 100% relaxed.

Will have a play with some vinyl later on our van. I assume best to still post heat even if feeding?

I would personally bridge and heat in afterwards. Your using the right material for the job there won’t be any issues. If your going to feed into the panel then surely the extra cost of cast is pointless just use polymeric.
