Advice on which printer I should buy.
I have a chance of buying either a Uniform Grenider 54" print & cut 2nd user excellent condition with baulk ink system, troop rip and 12 months waranty for £8000.00 or 3 month old ex demo soljet III with balance of warranty for £9500.00
I am tending towards the Uniform but the Roland is newer, however I can not make a certain choice as there are only subtle betters on each machine.
Any feedback comments would be very welcome as i have to decide on monday.

I would go for the newer machine. As Rob says though which aspects of each machine do you prefer?

i belive that the Uniform has the ability to run more aggresive inks with little or even no modification, however you would need to spend a lot of money on the Roland to use the same inks.
That said lots of people on here have Rolands i belive more than have Uniform.
I like the fact the Uniform comes with baulk system already so ready to run from day one with ink of my choice.
I believe spares are cheaper for Roland.
They are both grand machines so do i just go on price or age or what!!!

Quick update, that changes everything, the guy has just emailed saying it is a VP 540 Roalnd not Sol jet III

In that case the Grenadier is your best bet! sounds like the one you want anyway! :lol1:

Yes I think i was tending towards the Uniform, however a sol jet III for that money had to be considered. Now I know it is a VP 540 not XC540 this takes it out of the running as the VP is only a 4 colour machine and I want 6

i agree 100% with brian here… i would have went for the roland as it was newer. but given the new circumstances, definately the grenadier.
to be honest, if faced with the two and brand new machines i recon ide go for the grenadier again and thats after having one 4 years….that said, B&P need to get their act together these days and i mean in more ways than one!
