Does anyone know of or have pictures of the difference in swan neck sign lights and the continuous trough light system. I am trying to steer them towards the trough light as I believe it is a better light? Am I correct in saying this?

    Cheers

    cheers Richard That will help!

do you agree the lighting is better from a trough and will this type of fitting throw light upwards a distance of 1.2m?

over the past 12 months i have moved to LED trough lighting.
the ice white glow, i prefer over the yellow glow from the tubes… fitting long lengths is easy because the the troughs are so light in weight because they have no internal works as such… and of course, they are environmentally friendly which gives you a feather in your cap along with your customer!
they cost a few quid per metre more, but is easily sold to your customer, particularly the bigger customers as they are all being pressured by the government to push to use eco-friendly products & suppliers.

consider the "super bright" led troughs from insight sign systems.
im not sure if this is the exact one i used, so best check.. i recently illuminated a 30ft by 1.7m deep sign using an LED tough, looked the bsuiness at night…

i "think" the trough is £10 per foot and £13.00 in LED’s and £14.50 in super bright LED’s. im guessing from memory though… 😀

I havent the price in front of me but the first one you quoted sounds about right! I think I have enough in it to go for the superbright hopefully!

if you are looking to shine the light upwards ensure the unit is capable of doing it. Up lighters are normally weather proofed differently to standard trough lighting

Swan neck lighting is the pits, do your utmost to steer your client towards trough lights.

Rob. The led lighting I have seen locally is total cr@p. Very poor illumination so I have stayed clear of them up till now. Do you recommend them, and have you seen them at night to confirm they are good? I have only ever bought from Insight in the past.
