advice on price of Keencut
Posted by Mo Gillis-Coates on January 25, 2012 at 3:47 amHi Guys, just wanted some advice please. Just been offered a Keencut excalibur 5000 in good condition for 1k (no vat)
Can anyone tell me if this is a good price? I would have to travel about 160 miles round trip to get it so you can pop another £40 on the price ish.
If someone could get back to me soon that would be great, I don’t want to miss it if it’s a bargain

Sounds expensive to me Mo. We sold ours for about £500 ish I think. Ours was only the 48" one though.
Cheers

Yeah I saw that Gary when I was doing a search on here, mind you that was 09 though wasn’t it?
I think I will hang on to the money at the moment. It sounded like a bargain, but no VAT which is a bummer. I offered him £850 and he refused which was only £80 under what he was asking so I thought, nah!
lol

We bought an evolution and big bench after visiting the sign show last year and for us its a much more useful and gets far more use that the Excalibur ever did. Just wish I hadn’t gone for the biggest size.

ah, get a good deal at sign uk? I’m going this year with a few of the team to see what we can haggle the daylights out of lol

We ended up getting ours from http://www.thebigprintercompany.com/
If my memory serves me right then Keencut don’t sell direct but through agents but I am sure someone else will clarify.
Cheers

I got the 3600mm Big Bench and the 3600mm Evolution to go with it for £1400 + VAT. VAT isn’t an issue for us as we are VAT registered any way.
It takes a bit of setting up but we much prefer it. Having said that it depends on what you want it for. Will cut 10mm Foamex nicely whereas the Excalibur always struggled.
