Has anyone used this material for indoor signs?

I want to produce a name board which will be nearly 5m (split in three)long by just over 1m high, I am printing the names in gold on matt brown vinyl applied to the face of the board. I was going to use Foamboard but thought the Forex smart would be better weight wise and its cheaper.

Just wondered a couple of things, does it expand much, and how do you fix it to the wall, I was thinking of a batten on the back with double sided tape, then hang it on a batten fixed to the wall, this way it can be removed to add names.

    Cheers

We’ve used it Dave and like it for internal stuff. Not too sure about expansion but should be less than foam as it’s a 3 layer composite. Nice and rigid also and just an overall nice effect.

Was down your way at the weekend, cracking few days we’ve had!

i used the smart stuff with dig print vinyl applied. Luckily it was for a mate as within 2 days the edges had all curled off. I applied all dry via ezy taper I might add and the panels were only around A1 size. It could have been the vinyl I suppose but I did a fix job using the normal forex (classic) and the same vinyl and it has been fine for over a year. Lesson learned although I cant 100% say it was the smart board stuff. Ive not used it since. I will only use it now for applying cut vinyl and not dig print. hope this helps

    Thanks for the advice guys.

I am at the Marine Resource Centre in Barcaldine now Gavin although it is not good so will be moving before the year end.

Nice weather at the mo, not as good as Spain was though!

    Cheers
