I need to produce a 1200 x 2200mm 10mm thick acrylic panel with printed graphics to reverse. I have done a bit of testing on some offcuts but just can’t seem to get a perfect finish always seem to get some bubbles or tiny bits of dust etc (and that’s on offcuts not full sheet). I am reverse printing onto clear vinyl then backing with white vinyl. I would really appreciate any tips or advice you can give.

    Thanks
    Colin

    rolls roller

no seriously it shows up everything bubbles dirt etc

place acrylic on brown paper, wet the paper to keep dust down, anti static clean both sides of acrylic,, which you peeled the backing of away from your working area,
then spray water onto acrylic wipe of, spray again, lay face down your decal, peel of the backing, mist the decal and turn over direct to substrate, use spreader /squeegee as per norm, or hand roller if one at hand

patience and cleanliness is the art, or if you are lucky like me rolls roller lovely bit of kit

Not sure how you are installing this Colin but to reduce dust to a minimum it should be applied with the acrylic held in a vertical plane.
It is the same as installing window film. It can not be done cleanly with the substrate lying on a bench as there is lots of invisible dust in the air which will lay onto the acrylic.
Hold it vertically some how, clean and rinse the acrylic at least 2 x using a window cleaning squeegee. I would also think about installing wet as the water reduces static so not so much dust is attracted to either the plate or the vinyl.
