  • Advice on 3D type embossed sign, materials etc?

I have no idea if this is in the right section or the title was a bit vague but I am trying to get advice on reproducing the attached picture, the stroke width in some places is only 5mm wide, originally the customer wanted it in stainless, but due to cost and some stainless suppliers say they wont cut it, they had decided to go with chrome vinyl directly applied to the fascia which was fine, however now they want a 3D embossed style effect and the only way I could think of without using moulded plastic was maybe some kind of resin doming technique but due to the size of the sign 3m x 1m, drying times and dust etc was put off that idea too, maybe routered and painted medite? so any ideas anyone?
Also Dibond isnt an option as it has to look rounded.
If they want that rounded liquid look how would I achieve it most cost effectively and efficiently
    Cheers
    Steve

Have you seen what can be done with a vinyl mask and gorilla glue? There is a tutorial by Sal Cabrera on here somewhere. Pretty effective technique and cheap and simple to do. The only thing is that the ‘rise’ is hard to control, but it is easy to sand back.
