I am working with a local school who have just taken delivery of a laser cutter. I use flexi for my sign design work. But they wont to know what design programme would best suit them.

    What make of laser?
Mainstream lasers can output from any graphics software through the supplied ‘printer’ driver.

If it is Chinese you will be tied to using the supplied software…..you can export to this software as a .dxf file direct from corel/Adobe.

I will find out what the make is. I presume it is ugh the same concept as exporting to the rip software for my printer?

The driver will determine whether you can export out of Corel , in general the Chinese machines do NOT engrave a what you see is what you get drawing from Corel..find out the make.

If a good laser it would come with its own software which I prefer – there is then no problem of converting files/formats if created in its own software.
We have two lasers/software which both have excellent creative software, inc. importing logo’s etc.
