  • Advice needed on printing magnetic sheet on a JV3

Has anyone here managed to print 0.75mm thick magnetic sheet on a JV3 ?

I’ve had been thinking of printing magnetics a while back when I got an inquiry, but nothing came of it.
Today I have had another inquiry and i want do this myself instead of farming it out, the only problem I can see is that my JV3 has a steel front which will make the magnetic sheet stick.. any ideas ?

do you have a metal front or a plastic front JV3… the original JV3-160S has a metal front.

We actually removed the metal front to do it and made our own dibond front… it worked but we changed it back to metal one after a very long run.

Ink will stick… just plenty of heat

edit: and many head strikes but if you can fine tune ur machine, you be fine.

Thanks for the input Dave, yes its a metal fronted machine.
I’m going to get a sample mag sheet to try, I was wondering about head strikes but i have had other thick media through this machine before with no probs.

i did a 10 roll job thru it…. it will stick…. hence why the jv3 was changed in design so it could be done.

you might be able to make something out of card for it to slip on
