Advertising tips !
Guys/Gals , i need some inspiration , but i need to tell you where i am at so far….
I still work full time (computer industry)
I am hoping to go self employed at the end of the year
Initially it was just going to be “mobile domestic computer support”
But am investing in stuff now while i have the cash (from my full time wage)Cant use my car for anything at the moment , as i need it for my full time job , i.e. customer visits etc
Advertising so far :
The computer bit :
I have local add in local rag mag
I have yellow pages add due out Oct this year
I have 2 signs up on a main road
Wife’s back window in car vinyl’d up
Magnetic signs for my car (number plate to come)
**the n-plate above isn’t the plate i mention below**Number plates :
Ad on large garage wall (next door) owner gets a cut
Wife’s number plate says ” need a number plate *** ” on the bottom
a couple of local garages have my card (just in case they get stuck)Signs :
6×2 banner to side of house advertising banners
leaflets in display stands to go out soon (anywhere that will take them)
Its the sign side i need to get a few more little low cost things going for , word of mouth round here is great , the banner has only been up a couple of days ,but i know it will get around , i still live at home , but we are on a main business using road , cant go mad with signs and banners etc , so looking for very small unique ideas….the reason i have a few things on the go , is JUST IN CASE….computing is my background , but signs I’d like one day to be my background also….
Whats peoples thoughts on getting pens and stuff made up , and just dumping them in shops etc ???
