  • Adjusting ink level usage in versaworks

    Hi,

    Wondering if anyone can help.

Im about to print onto some translucent vinyl to go onto a lightbox but have been advised that it is best to adjust the ink level usage in works so that slightly more ink than normal is used which gives the vinyl more vibrancy when lighbox is on.

Only thing is i dont know how to do this so would appreciate any help.

i have sp540 run on versaworks.

    Thanks

I normally print the files to be used in translucent material in RGB format for more color vibrancy and also change from single pass to double pass in the overprint setting. Hope this helps.

How do you set versaworks to double pass or print twice?

im using the correct profile for the translucent media….does this automatically print at double pass or do i still need to configure versaworks?

In Versaworks go to Printer Controls – General – Click use custom Settings – change overprint to 2 times

versaworks, go to the print menu, then quality, near the bottom of the screen there is a drop down tab, choose sign and display or max impact, all sorted for you. You will need to have updated versaworks for this in the last year

    Chris – good find mate!!

Used the max impact setting on a roller banner I did today, now it may be a fluke but I didn’t get any of the abnormalities I sometimes get on hydrosol!

I’ll definitely be experimenting with this.

    Cheers
