I’m drawing some signs up that will be used in Ireland. I know the ADA laws here in America, but I’m not sure what I am allowed to do for tactile signs being used in Europe. Braille in America must always be put beneath the copy, never to the sides nor above. Does this rule apply in Ireland or can I put the Braille off to the side? I ask because it will give me more room beneath the tactile copy. Any help would be appreciated.

Couldn’t find anything specific Simon, but these people or this site may have the info you require. I can’t say for definite that there are guidelines, but I have seen braille on top and the bottom of signs.
