Hello! New here but I’m after some advice on signage fittings.

I have been making the floating effect signs and I’m not too sure if there are better fittings out there.

I have been using these plastic clip things to attach to the wall, I have been attaching two to the back of the sign, screwing the cap to the wall and click. Once the sign is up, you cannot remove it to move it etc as the plastic just snaps. I attach the two pieces of acrylic with Mitre bond and also the plastic clip on the back with mitre bond.

so in a nutshell, my questions are:

Best fittings to use for the floating effect?

Are the ones I use suffice but maybe I should use 4?

Anything better than mitrebond to attach the pieces together? It does seem pretty strong though!

    Thanks 🙂

Welcome to the boards Amy, great to have you here.

Locators: ideally 4, no less than 3.
    Adhesive: Tensol
Locators used: perfectly fine for this.
Source for adhesive and locators: Europoint.
