If the length you want to bend is not too long(less them 4ft) then i’d suggest making your own, all you need is some nichrome wire and a power supply, try searching the web for foam wing cutting, you will find plenty of designs to copy, model makers use them to make there wings.
Its really easy and you will save ££££££, if you need any tips then let me know.

Thanks Fozzy but I have been down that route, can’t find a supplier of Ni-chrome wire, I even went to a local manufacturer of these things when I was looking last year and met with a brick wall (unless I wanted to part with silly money. I am looking for a budget price job though, so any info greatly appreciated. It will only be used for the odd small job thats why I don’t want to part with to much ££££££
Cheers

Another option to ni-chrome wire to to straighten out some wire from a bar heater, not an ideal solution but if your only looking for a short length in might just work…..or just use a bar heater and make a thin slot above it with a couple of peices of wood, crude but it worked when i was a school 🙂
here is a very crude pic of what i mean.

Hi All
Sounds like the shops coming along!
Heat Bender I have is home made – with lots of wire to go with it
Proper power supply. about 30inches wide – Double Bend possible
FREE – Must be collected from Darwen Nr Bolton – Any Interest?
Regards Dave Standen -
Dave, thanks that would be great, but a bit far to travel from Swansea. If you had only posted this a few days ago I could have sent someone from Bolton to pick it up as I will be seeing him on the weekend. 😥
Would it be to much trouble to pack it up and send it by snail mail, I would be more than happy to reimburse you for costs and hassle
Cheers

Hi Mike
Sorry for the late post – you know the problem with postmen!
Machine – the power supply takes 2 men to lift it!
I can dismantle, put onto a pallet and put on carrier if you wish, but you would then have to assemble and make work yourself.
Do you wish? – I’ll sort out the price of a pallet load delivery & advise if you want – come back & advise
Regards Dave Standen -

There’s a company in Leeds (or used to be) called “Bray”, “Chromalox” who make sheathed heating elements, to any length and wattage. We used to use these guys a few years ago whilst in the plastics fabricating business, and used to buy 8ft heating elements from them for bending plasatic. You’ll still need to make the bed (some kind of fire resistant material such as “Asbestolux” – the elements by the way are/were 240v, so you dont need a transformer.
Hope this helps
regards
Mark
