  • A Talented traditional Brushy dies at 30 :(

Ryan Best is/was my opposition from Rochedale, about 15 minutes from me.

I don’t know him personally, only by reputation. His Father is a brushy, and so are his brothers. We share the same fitters.

His funeral was last Wednesday, with over 1000 people attending. Pretty amazing for someone so young. A young Father with 2 small kids, and a younger wife.

The really sad part about this is that he shouldn’t have died. He was trying to stop gate crashers to a private party. All it took was one punch by a drunk idiot trying to get into a party uninvited.

Now his young wife is a widow, and his kids are probably too small to really know him.

The lesson here is that time and unforeseen circumstances befall us all. One day we may leave home to go to work, and tragedy strikes.

I for one tell my wife and kids I love them when I leave for work.

Sorry to be so depressing, but this is a bit close to home. The party he was going to, was just up the road. This has hit the local sign fraternity pretty hard. He was a talent.

    Take care all.

Very tragic. You’re right with your comment Shane when you say today could be your last, but 30 years old is very sad.

What a senseless waste of a life.
I hope the gatecrasher gets punished.
But nothing will bring this kid back.
    🙁

It always seems the decent people pay the price.

A shameless waste as said before, obviously a well respected talent and guy.

My thoughts are with you Shane.
