Well I guess I will find out in November when I see The Rolling Stones in concert in San Diego!! I just bought some tickets so I can take my Dad and his friends. I hope the Rolling Stones are still alive in November. 😀
Gotta go work on my Mick impersonation….anyone have some tight leather pants I can borrow?

Seen them twice. Once when they closed the first half of a show – and the second about a year later, when they were top billing. Both times Brian Jones was playing…..pure Rock & Roll

Aw, Carrie, you are cute as a button even with sleep deprivation.
The Stones tix just went on sale here. They will be playing PNC Park in Pittsburgh this September with Pearl Jam.
The tickets are priced as follows: The cheap seats are $173, the others are $420.
Ahem! Yeesh, that is too dear for my tired old wallet.
I have seen: Peter Frampton, Gary Wright, The Beach Boys, Phil Collins, Bob Dylan, Gary Numan (twice) Adam Ant, Peter Gabriel, The Moody Blues, & Broooce Springsteen.
(the only ones I wanted to see were Dylan, Numan, & Ant, I was just toted along to the others)

I go to see my favorite band The Clarks every year.
    http://www.clarksonline.com/
Much more fun than getting your nipples pinched. And it’s only $25.

    Fascinating character was Brian Jones.

I read a book on him entitled “Who killed Christopher Robin” about the events leading up to his death.

I was 4 months old when he died yet i`ve read so many books on the stones i kinda feel i know him inside out.

Theres no other group that even come close to the rock and roll history of the Stones. Not everyone`s cup of tea tho but certainly mine.

Gonna stick you on the spot Lee. Whats your top 3 tracks they done, in no particular order.

Mine are Sympathy for the Devil, Gimmie Shelter and Jumping Jack Flash. Only a true Stones fan will appreciate how hard it is to name a top 3 ;).

P.s. Out of all the Stones books i read, believe it or not, Bill Wyman`s was by far the best.

I’ve seen a few good bands – my favourites being Inxs, Hootie & the Blowfish and Duran Duran who I saw last year. John’s absolute favourite was AC/DC about 5 years ago.

I saw the Rolling Stones play last night at Petco Park in San Diego, California.
    Awesome!
    Here are some pictures:

    Here is the story:

They went on stage around 9 and played until 11:15.
Non-stop excitement. I have never seen so many “old” people smoking joints.

only seen Roger waters (pink flyd) live, oh and one of the here and now tours with paul young, toyah, belinda carlisle, howard jones, tony hadley and a couple of others, would like to see the who, and of course, i’d probably wet me pants if i got to see pink floyd for real !!

seen a few pink floyd tribute bands, think floyd (3x and with kids once), pink side of the moon etc, also went to see that freddie mercury guy (the tiny bloke who won stars in their eyes about 4yrs ago), he was amazing !

oh yeah… and chubby brown at brighton,

Friend treated me to a Stones Concert a few years back in NY
WHAT a great show. I figured I better see them before either they died, or I did – at this point who knows? they just keep on going…could be in their 80’s by the time they quit. Mick has more energy than a 20 year old!

they have some nice little venues in brighton, and the brighton centre of course, oh… snd the pavilion… pink floyd D.S.O.T.M there before it was released on vinyl, never heard a band in there but it’s apparently got awesome acoustics for a small venue,

alot of the smaller venues, even some of the pubs, have some good local and not so local talent, and some not so good… !

I haven’t been to a concert for a year or so now. I love my music and will listen to almost anything. But as far as concerts go I too have seen the Stones, a Hampden Park years ago. I’ve also seen Elton John, Cher, Billy Joel, The Eagles, The Who, Stereophonics, Matchbox20 (my Fave ever!) 😛 , Maroon 5, Simple Minds, Lloyd Cole (blast from the past), The Waterboys… and more! I’m not counting Westlife and Steps who I had to take my daughter to see SEVERAL times each 😕
I want to go to another concert now, this has put me in the mood. I think I’ll have a trawl around the net to see who’s on… 😀

I saw the Eagles about 25 years ago at Wembley-they were fab!

Also saw Deep Purple, (backing group were a Canadian lot called Clover, had never heard of them then, but got quite well known, I think-Stevo will possibly know) ELO and that’s about it 🙄

Carie you’ve never been to a concert!! that’s amazing.

I don’t know what music your into but get Steve to book some tickets
for a gig. It’s one of the best experiences in life.

As for me sorry everyone I can’t stand the Roiling Stones.

I’m along with Marcella’s tastes, I’ve seen Simple Minds 5 times.
Biggest regret is not seeing The Sex Pistols or The Stranglers my
    fav punk band.

I’ve seen everyone from Andy Williams and Chris Deburgh (keep that
quiet) to Bruce Springsteen the Cure, Hazel O’connor 3 times supported
by Duran Duran, to David Bowie.
Also my favorite woman in the whole wide world ‘Kate Bush’ in 1979
at the London Palladium, not many people have seen her in concert.

When working late my fav cd is anything by ‘The Cocteau Twins’
Another regret not seeing them live. ( check em out!)

Carrie you haven’t lived until you’ve been to a descent gig.

In the old days I went to concerts by Roxy Music (my first ever concert saw them about 4 times), Slade, Mott the Hoople, Steve Harley and Cockney Rebel, Alex Harvey, Deep purple, Be Bop Deluxe,… later Kid Creole and the Coconuts, Garry Glitter 😥 The Shadows,… a few years ago Cliff Richard 😕 , The Happy Gang,… and most recently Hearsay, Will Young and “him that was runner up” (what’s-his face)

Isn’t it strange how your tastes go all to pot as you get older 😳
