We are in the process of doing our company van (wrapping) and I was wondering where everyone sources the images for these jobs?

    Is there an on-line catalog?
Is there a company that specializes in them?

I do not want to go down the route of the Ingram discs as they do not have the image I am after.

The area I need to print is 2x sides @ 2207x1667mm
    and 1 x back @ 1796 x 1700mm

If anyone can let us know that would be great! 😀

    Thanks in advance.

Carrie, there was a link a while back to a brilliant site that had loads of free images suitable for print, I have it in favourites on the shop pc. I’ve used it time and time again, I’ll have a mooch about, see if I can find the link on here again. 😀

Btw, any ideas what you’re going to use as an image, or will it be a collage? Really interested how ppl decide on what images to use to portray their own businesses, I’ve opted for some old type-setting blocks on my new business cards and I’m considering some sort of collage thing in my shop window with a similar image. I’m getting tired of looking at ole Fido Dido now 😉

    Cheers, Dewi

Thanks Dewi ….. I have them saved on my faves aswell punchstock & stock.xchng are a couple ….. are those the ones you mean? Steve posted this message and then once I had seen it tonight I realised I hadnt told him about them yet … even so he is still looking for more info on the image sourcing?? oooops!! :lol1: But as I told him he should do a search first before posting ….. *tut* :lol1:

The trouble with having one company van and two people with very different ideas … it can be awkward :lol1: I have one idea and Steve has another and as yet we are both unsure about both ….. how come its easy to sort a customers design out but when it comes to doing your own it takes much longer … well I find that anyway …. but it could just be me?? 😮 Mine involves tall animals :lol1: and Steves is more arty design modern stuff 😀 We want to get the van done sooner rather than later but at the same time don’t want to just rush and do something we will dislike six weeks down the line!!??

Carrie 😀 …… having one of her babble attacks 😛

    🙄
But then there’s the harder still choice – who gets the drivers side and who the passenger’s side.

:lol1: Chris, we’ve already had thoughts about doing that … but could look messy??!!

Alan ….. OMG!!! Not even thought about that yet …. but I suppose If Steve drives I can view it as a bit of a luxury … personal chauffer 😉 :lol1:

I have a montage of photos down both sides of my van

It is a communty phot site. Some photos are average, some are brilliant. And a 300pdi photo is $US1.50 ea.

    Worth a look.
