• A Board Supplier

Posted by Dave Bruce on June 28, 2007 at 1:42 pm

Ok I have searched the boards for the last 12 months (posts) but can’t find a supplier of a specific type of A Board, so hope someone can help.

They make them out of steel both round and square have black caps and ‘feet’ and have 10mm Foamboard as the face. Come with stainless pin hinges and a centre lock to hold them open.

    Hope someone recognises the description.

    Cheers

    Dave

Hi Dave, apart from the 10mm foamboard, these sound like the Tradesignz ‘Parla’ a-boards. These are as described but don’t come with boards.

It’s been mentioned before on here, have you looked at B&Q metal trestle thingies.

They look as you have described square metal with end caps, lock etc, just no board. Last time i was in they had stacks of then selling for £7, just put your own board on.

http://www.tradesignz.co.uk click on pavement signs, they do the Parla (square frame) and the Arden (round frame)
Their showroom start-up offers aren’t too bad either, as you can mix & match, don’t have to buy what they state, as long as it’s the right quantity.

-No, I don’t have shares! Just used them a lot when I started up, now I tend to buy my a-boards from Signwaves Trade, as their frames have the boards included.

What board do you use George? Do you use the feet they sell? I have a sample handle here which I have yet to try out.
