Nothing special, just a A board with a PC60 print on it. The PC60 must be a sado masochist, its printing brilliantly again now after being slapped silly! I was amazed that following Chris’s advice on laying out the graphic differently saved so much in ribbons its unbelievable! Nice one Mr Sticker! 😀

    Cheers, Dewi

Its just the orientation of the image on the printer Nik. With this image I tipped it upside down before it was printed, leaving a shorter distance to the edge of the print than if I’d printed it the other way up (as is default when you go to print). Basically just moving the image round to make the shortest distance from the starting point (when the ribbon touches the vinyl) to the finish point (when there is no more image to print in that pass).

I s’pose its all common sense really, but because I lack it, I found it helpful to know 😀 Certainly saves alot of ribbon!

Edit: Sorry Nigel, I missed your post 😳 I got a CD full of photographs from the customer, and this one was the best I think, so I minused the background. Unfortunately the top of the helmet wasn’t in shot, but I think it sort of looks cool, like he’s wheelied off the sign or something :lol1:

Also thank you to everyone else who’s commented 😀 I wasn’t being rude, honestly, I’m just shattered tonight 😳

No! I just spent most of my time with the wife here and there

She had a little moan last year when she got time off and I still carried on working.
So I thought: Blow it I’m downing tools this year. And I did!

It was a great break and now am ready to fire

looks good mate… well done, yet another pc60 print & not small 😉

hows the willy-wonka print head going? thats meant to mean, ever lasting, as in ever lasting gob-stopper 😕 ok ill shut up.. jokes not my strong point. where i lack in humor, god made up for with my height 😉

You won’t believe it Robert, but its still going!! 😮 😮 The thing gets used over and over again, and it just won’t run out! I keep willing it to make a mistake, and I got my mistake today as it went out of alignment. But even when I give it a slap and swear at it, it just starts printing again! 😕

You sold me a miracle machine Mr L! We’ll be old men, retired and wandering the streets in baggy trousers held up by string, and someone somewhere will be still using this PC60 to print “Beware of the old people” stickers, and still using the same head! :lol1:

I’m quite enjoying printing the larger images though, I’ve discovered over time that I can print at low resolutions and still get great results. And unbelievably, a dab of polish and the prints are still looking great after I think its 8 months of outdoor abuse! Very weird!

Still have to learn this tiling thingy trick though, I’ve attempted it twice now and buggered it up both times 🙁

    Cheers, Dewi

dewi… dead easy way around it, if i remember right….

lets say you have an image 40 inches wide by 20inches deep.
but you want to print it the width of machine…
of course on the screen the image goes right off the page at one side by about 20inch…
    ok leave it like that…
now just draw up a large white box and place it over the image where you want the machine to stop printing the tile…
it cant print white so just stops and returns anyway…
then when done move the unprinted bit onto print area and cover the other part with wite shape.. & repeat. 😉

Nice one mate. Like the head chopped of too, gives the impression that it is a really really high jump… if you know what I mean.

Continually amazed at the quality of work you guys and gals do with the PC60.

I am still seeking therapy from the time I owned a PC50. Obviously the PC60 is a better unit.

    Well done.

    Shane
