  • A big thank you to William Smith.

Thought I’d say in public a big thank you to William Smith for the manner in which they have conducted themselves throughout our purchase, commission, training and ongoing support for our latest arrival, the HP Latex L25500 printer.

Often we tend to mainly submit complaints about our suppliers, quite naturally, but I thought I’d state here my thanks for William Smith consistently exceeding our expectations; does not mean that other companies would not provide great service also of course.

So thanks to Jill, Jono, Mathew, Jason and not least Dean who, although not specifically on the Latex or IT side spent time with me when I called at 1 minute to five on Friday evening trying to help me when the printer went ‘pear shaped’ on my first job which just would happen to be a wrap printed in almost solid black for a vehicle that has to be delivered to Austria on Monday, I was not really under pressure of course 😮 but Dean suggested a solution, went looking for people, after finding everyone else had left the building and it seemed to do the trick.
Next question would be how to run the print then cut since I’ve forgotten but will have to find a work around until I bother them again on Monday.

Oh, and the extended ethernet cable arrived this morning, thanks.

Well done John for saying a public ‘thanks’. You are right, it’s not done often enough = a lot of good suppliers / people out there willing to help.

Good luck with your new printer.

ah John sounds like your in the same club… we also have had our Latex fitted on the last day, William Smith had many installs to do at the end of the deal.

We thank John, Nicky (my local reps), Gill, Steve, Neal and the two installers Jason (I think) and the IT guy who’s name i can never remember. Also want to thank Kirsty and David from Art Systems who have helped the install to.

We had a deal where we received the machine and trials of Two RIPS, we are now testing each RIP for our workflow. Onyx and Caldera, we also looking at other solutions too.
